Living disciplined will be the most miserable thing you ever do. But despite the pleasures you partake in that keep you from being disciplined, you are still miserable. You have nothing to lose.
The first time I heard something like this I was 22 and just happened to walk into a cathedral while in France. They were only practicing and it literally stopped me in my tracks. It was like heaven opened up. How did Catholics trade this for what sounds like bad 70s music?
A lot of anxiety comes from worrying about something 'bad' that might happen. But when we look in reverse, every bad thing becomes a good thing with time & perspective. So - maybe think about what good will come from the bad thing that hasn't happened yet and worry less.
People hate sacrifice. They hate risk. They hate long timeframes.
Which is why these are the gatekeepers to success.
To crush life you must do what others will not. 99% of others will not do these.
So by embracing them with glee you will beat 99% of people.
The reason focus is so important in the beginning is that the only solid employee in your business is you.
And you would never tell that person to work on four things at the same time and see what works.
