Most RWAs listed on Variational have 0% funding.
Yes, you heard that right — zero funding.
Everyone is overlooking this right now, but funding has been one of the most discussed problems with onchain RWAs so far.
It is unbelievable that you still have to pay 10% annualized funding on average on Hyperliquid and Lighter — sometimes even more — just to long an ETF or index that yields 6–8% APY on average.
I keep saying it — Variational will surpass HIP-3 sooner or later.
RFQ is the only way to bring thousands of RWAs on-chain, 24/7 tradable, with tight spreads and 0% funding.
Variational points are currently the best way to bet on the on-chain RWA narrative.
HL S3 and the Unit drop both seem unlikely for now.
So the question remains — why are you still sidelined?
I keep hearing that it is too late to earn points.
It is not.
You have 3-4 months left.
APIs are not live yet and the team has no plans to launch them anytime soon, so competition is still relatively low — even though Variational is already a top 3 perp DEX by open interest.
Open interest also dropped 25-30% during the recent market crash, making it even easier to earn points right now.
I know people earning a few hundred points per week with just $5-10M in volume.
The thing is, people are still pricing points incorrectly on OTC.
I am confident points will be worth at least $50, which translates to a $1.5-2B FDV at TGE.
$LIT is already trading at a $1.5B FDV — while Variational currently has higher open interest and revenue than Lighter.
And the metrics will only go up from here as the RWA Phase 2 launch rolls out.
The team has mentioned several times that they admired how Hyperliquid handled its TGE and want to reward their community in the same spirit.
That is why I believe the genesis drop will be around 25-30%, given that 50% of the total
$VAR supply is reserved for community rewards — confirmed in the docs.
I have moved all my trading activity over to Variational and plan to earn as many points as possible until TGE.
