OpenSea dropping its token rn would act as a catalyst for the entire NFT sector. It will be a stimmy like the surprise Uniswap token claim which cashed everybody up enough to go bonkers and have a DeFi Summer. Which is still the wildest time in crypto ever. The timing is perfect.

DeFi summer was not about chasing yield - it was about chasing fun, new narratives, and novel ideas. It lost meaning when novel mechanism design became more about disguising extractive schema than fun.
The only path towards a new era of on-chain games worth playing is probably something like the obelisk; positive-sum structures that align incentives so that participation has a compounding effect and you decide where, not who, the yield comes from.
