- simply raised prices ~20%
- switched 80% of part orders to new vendor with 20% lower price on average. Also half as many wrong item returns with new vendor which was disrupting workflows
- replaced employee that was slow/mistake prone with one that is neither of those (and cheaper)
- let go of another that Iām not exactly sure what he did, but all his work has been absorbed by the rest of the org
- put commission incentives in place for drivers who bring work back to shop
- started tracking part returns more closely and realized we often werenāt getting credit?
- removed insurance on truck that hadnāt run in 1.5 yrs, and sold it
- shooed away the panhandler āshop stockā restock guys. ($400-500 a week in cut costs and nothing feels missing?)
- fired Cintas (boomer company that brings rugs and soap weekly?)
- gutted bloated telecom (renegotiated with service provider, switched from pots to voip, etc.)
