I'm surprised people are giving Morpho a hard time over this raise. They asked for the tokens from the DAO for development and growth, received them, and seemingly sold them OTC via an investment round to fund development and growth. Nothing wrong with that. It would be moronic to telegraph the investment round in the DAO ask itself. No sane investor would agree to that. The fact no one bothered to participate in DAO governance is a DAO problem, not a Morpho problem. And I saw someone else complain about them needing so much money to write 1000 lines of code. As if the code was ever the product. The core of Morpho was built in 2020. Kashi built Morpho Blue and Yearn built Morpho vaults. You could build a better (IMO) and more functional Morpho on Euler today in 20 minutes if you want to. The code isn't the product, it never was, their liquidity is. And that's what they've been spending all their treasury on, and what's made it so hard for others like Euler to ever compete. As much as it pains me, hats off to them.

Today we're launching a secondary market for srRoyUSDC, in partnership with @roycoprotocol. srRoyUSDC is Royco's senior vault. Depositors earn yield sourced across multiple markets, with junior capital taking first loss. It functions like an index of protected yield. Redemptions from the vault are not instant. They depend on the vault's state, so a holder who wants to exit today cannot redeem immediately at NAV. The difference between what the market will pay now and what the position redeems for later is the liquidity premium. Agra is built to price this in real time, so the cost of liquidity and the value of protection trade openly rather than a fixed assumption. Sellers exit without waiting on the redemption queue. Buyers get protected yield exposure, plus the premium for taking on the wait. Liquidity providers earn the spread. A later integration with Royco Dusk will form part of the liquidity sleeve, adding a further source of depth to the market. From there we plan to expand listings across Royco's single-name junior and senior vaults, so the full tranche can be priced and traded.

The funniest thing to me was when I was in Paris for Proof of Talks and there was this dude who was a TAO maxi pitching me to build an exchange for private credit (@agra_gg) on Bittensor.

Some people actually wanted to get some exposure to pAlpha after this. We definitely saw an uptick in weekend trading volume from participants who wanted both to enter and exit positions on @agra_gg.

The way to save Ethereum: The community needs to create an organization that's economically aligned with Ethereum and accountable to it. The EF now holds less than 0.1% of all ETH. There is no flow of Ethereum staking or fee revenues to it. If we want to get Ethereum back to winning: - create an organisation with credible funding, minimum $1b as a start. That's very reasonable for an ecosystem with $250b market cap - find a leader who is competent and wants to fight - make it accountable: a board of people who want ETH to go up, and a charter that holds the org accountable to it - fund it permanently: A significant amount of staking revenue needs to go to it. A governance mechanism that can adjust it (also part of accountability). Very hard to imagine now, but I think this is the only way (and it will probably happen, but it might take a long time before it is consensus).

Long overdue but glad it’s coming

Even though I’m in favor of a unified European capital market and a cohesive integrated system, euro stablecoins shouldn’t be waved off like this as both options aren’t mutually exclusive. @Lagarde is missing the point of the extra credit facilities this opens for the EU/eurozone imo.
