~80M merchants in india accept stablecoin payments through scansetu. we didn't sign one of them. UPI already had QR codes at every chai stall, kirana, dentist, and amazon checkout. we just plug into what's already there. user scans, we settle inr to the merchant in 50 seconds. they don't know crypto was involved. 4,330 users, 3,360 orders, $29.7K settled in 10 weeks. 100% organic.

got pitched by a "vc" yesterday that turned out to be a phishing setup. flagging the pattern for other founders. how it played out: 1. cold dm from a verified handle with 50k followers claiming fund interest 2. moved to telegram (normal vc behavior so far) 3. shared a legit-looking deck and website 4. scheduled a call, two people joined and gave fund intro 5. then: "ceo can't join, please click this specific link to bring him in" 6. refused to use zoom, gmeet, or telegram video. claimed "internet issue" 7. only one specific link would work we said no and they left. the deck was good. the website was good. the people were rehearsed. the trap was that one link. if a vc call ever requires a "specific" link that isn't zoom, gmeet, or telegram, walk away. doesn't matter how legit the rest of the call felt. stay safe out there.

in india, money doesn't move through cards. it moves through QR codes printed on cardboard, taped to chai stalls, scratched onto plastic sheets at kirana counters. UPI did 22.35 billion transactions last month. 745 million a day. the "card vs QR" debate ended in india years ago. crypto cards in india will fail for one reason: we already won the payments war. stablecoins belong on the QR rail.
