🚗☁️Traffic and Weather on the 4's... and Poems!
Periwinkle skies begin to drape,
as outbound engines softly escape.
Ridge-line bypasses unwind through lavender mist,
where the heavy turnpikes no longer twist.
Amber rays from a high-beam glide,
shadow the coasting lanes beside.
The blacktop cools on a canyon track,
leaving the backup and city back.
Faint clover vapors and warm night air,
breathe through the timberlines, wild and bare.
The mid-June squeeze and the fever breaks,
in the gentlest sigh the evening makes.
Rest now, travelers, drift away—
into the grace of a warm Saturday.
