Edith Valles, Project Manager for biological weapons proliferation issues within the Disarmament and Nonproliferation Section of @OEA_CICTE, shares her insights on the challenges of #NonProliferation in Latin America in the latest edition of the @1540Compass magazine. She highlights CICTE’s key role in strengthening national capacities and supporting the implementation of UN Security Council Resolution 1540 (2004) in the region, as well as the importance of regulating and safeguarding emerging biotechnology against its potential misuse.
