With World Cup ⚽ matches kicking off in the U.S. and Canada this week, we are reminding all pilots to ensure awareness of, and compliance with, all pertinent #NOTAMs and flight-planning resources – even for your routine flight patterns. 🇨🇦 In Canada ➡️ Watch for NAV CANADA NOTAMs, AICs, and special-use airspace publications for CYVR/Vancouver and CYYZ/CYTZ/Toronto. 🇺🇸 In the U.S. ➡️ Check all applicable #FAA NOTAMs, TFRs, and additional guidance for regions hosting World Cup activity. ⚠️ Reminder: Unauthorized entry into restricted airspace can trigger an undesired security response, including an intercept by #NORAD fighter aircraft. NORAD successfully completed Operation GLOBAL GUARDIAN earlier this week. As a U.S. Strategic Command Bomber Task Force transited from the Indo-Pacific into Alaska, through Canada, and into the Continental U.S., NORAD’s Alaskan, Canadian, and Continental U.S. Regions capitalized on the opportunity to execute and coordinate sequential tracking and intercepts of an American  B-52 Stratofortress, acting as a simulated threat to North America. This inter-regional cooperation demonstrates the binational Command’s seamless and layered defense of North America. Shout out to all three of our regions for operating as one team across the continent.
