Exciting news: DHX36 acts as a molecular “rheostat” linking RNA surveillance to PKR/RIG-I antiviral signaling. Loss of DHX36 triggers aberrant immune activation via RNA G4s and stress responses.

Researchers from the TRR237...
...have found that constitutive MDA5 signaling, and ADAR1 deficiency causing aberrant downstream activation of innate immune sensors MDA5 and PKR, leading to severe autoimmunity and lethality.
