I am fully of the view that inquests are required for these deaths. We need to understand how, when, where and who died. That's the function of inquests. It's part of the state's article 2 obligations in protecting the right to life.

Joan Burton is correct in saying that inquests may be required into deaths of children in mother and baby homes. Criminal investigations should also follow. #TodaySOR

Between 02:30 and 05:30 this morning @DWMRT and @GlenofImaalMRT were on a rescue operation for snowbound motorists on the Sally Gap. The video, taken by mountain rescue team members, shows the reality of having to abandon a car on a mountain road.
