Tennessee is elite. Jaylen Carey was a crucial part of Tennessee’s win to get to the Elite Eight. Carey’s 87.90 game grade against Iowa State was his highest-graded performance of the season. Tennessee is 15–3 this year when at least two players record a game grade of 83 in the same game.

UConn is elite. Alex Karaban made big-time plays to hold off Michigan State and send UConn to the Elite Eight. Karaban has recorded a grade of 84 in 15 games this season, and UConn is 14–1 in those games.

That trend has flipped in March—through three tournament games, the Hawkeyes are 3–0 when someone other than Stirtz has been their top-graded player.
