from someone who started not a long time ago and hit eternus soloq in just 3 months as a new player, this is the EASIEST question for me, follow my steps and you'll skyrocket in ranks and improve
1. (A MUST STEP) find your comfortable hero (preferably 2-3 in case your main is taken) and play that X hero for at least 40-50 games to get the muscle memory, that way you'll learn the macro and improve your mechanics without feeling too harsh while maintaining fun, for me it was Lash, I would do 6 man Lash-ult in initiate6 when I started playing and had tons of fun
2. follow pro's/popular builds from left to right, don't choose complicated builds with tons of stuff, find something simple and stick to it, your first hours is to learn things step by step, read what your item do and consume the information slowly, that way you'll learn items and eventually will make your own builds
3. depends on your role, find a comfortable streamer/youtuber for yourself, whether you're support/carry/tank player, if you really want to improve, you have to watch good players maximizing their hero potential
4. gamesense will come eventually, don't overfocus on how to play properly, your first experience is not to rush and become a god player but get to know why everyone enjoys deadlock, you'll have time to watch guides/vods and improve later on, my first time hero was Lash and I was building refresher as my 3rd item, was it a bad decision? yes. was I having a shit ton of fun? YES.
5. don't be afraid of making mistakes, don't listen to noobs calling you bad or saying "wtf are u doing" just mute them and play deadlock, learn the game, we legit all started the same, your first time experience should give you fun regardless if you're tryharder or casual
if you're looking for a comfy streamer to watch, come on my
twitch.tv/juzu and hang around with me, I'll answer any question and help anyone who's starting, deadlock is way easier than people think and I can prove it to you
guys how do i get better at deadlock
