For children & teens I think there are a growing number of ppl who are concerned. Not treating mental illness in adolescents is horrible & unethical. Adding hormones on top of that? It will only exacerbate the symptoms. At the very least treat both at the same time

And really, at what age are most ppl allowed to get tattoos wo parental consent? To drink? To join the military? To vote? We don't trust children to make major life decisions & gender reaffirming care is one. If we're going to do so there must be proper supervision & screening

Abortion is the canary in the coal mine here: if women's autonomy is not a right & can be overridden or violated at will then she functionally has no right to life--thus her life won't be protected or prioritized, especially when she's most vulnerable, i.e., birth.
