War Machine knows exactly what it wants to be and mostly earns it. The first act is genuinely good, Alan Ritchson carrying grief and silence through Ranger training, building real myth around a nameless man. Then the robot shows up and the movie becomes Predator.

Now watching Alan Ritchson's War Machine.
This is giving me Taylor Kitsch's Battleship vibes and I absolutely love these kinds of action sci-fi movies 😍

If my kids were young again (I wish😥) homeschool co-op would be my choice. It’s very worrisome, and people need to wake up.
Not trying to be a pain-just very upset and frustrated.
I believe in science. I also believe in easy access to quality literature. This is my classroom library. I prefer to teach in ways that give Ss the best chance to succeed AND I also encourage Ss to read great literature. SOR advocates do both.
My daughter had to take a placement test for middle school today
Her immediate reaction was not, “ugh! A test?!”
But rather, “I hope it’s paper based. I do so much better on paper tests”
From the mouth of babes y’all.
Paper over devices
Every hour I spend tutoring radicalizes me further.
Has nothing to do with the kids not being "smart" enough. They're being systematically set up to fail by a machine that prioritizes curriculum speed and pass rates over comprehension.
I missed all of my friends on here. I did go through another cancer, but I really left for a bit because of the rude people showing up now and again. It seems to have calmed down a bit?
We read Phantom in my little Book Club (eight 5th and 6th) and here is what Kadence did for Dress-Up-Like-A-Strong-Book-Character-Day. We read the kid’s classic starts.
