Adding insult to injury, the Board of Education didn’t talk about the reopening of schools in the first seven hours of its meeting yesterday. But families learned in an email today that middle school and high school aren’t going back this academic year.

This is beyond unacceptable. It’s hard to overstate how damaging this decision is to families.
But the School Board had plenty of time to remove Abraham Lincoln’s name from a school.
The governance at SF Unified School District is a broken echo chamber. It needs to be fixed.
