I’m gonna lose some followers for this. And I’m okay with that. Because if you don’t stand for what you believe in. For what you know is right. Then your silence is enabling what you know is wrong. And right now my party is on the wrong side of history.
ICE murdered a man today. They had already taken his gun. Then killed him. And Trump’s response is fucking sickening.
I got my issues with democrats. I believe in small government and lean mostly conservative. I wasn’t a fan of Obama’s politics but damn I respected the man. I didn’t vote for him either time. I didn’t vote for Hillary bc she is crazy. I voted for Donald the first time because even if I thought he was a piece of shit human being. I still voted for my party. In 2020 I didn’t vote for either bc Biden and Trump both sucked. In 2024 I voted Kamala simply bc I didn’t want Trump to win. I wasn’t a fan of her. But I knew she wouldn’t do anything bat shit crazy until 2028 when we could actually get a good Republican candidate.
We need to fix immigration. We need to cut a lot of wasteful spending. What we don’t need is what he has turned ICE into. Trump, Noem, Hegseth, and unfortunately Vance who I was a big fan of at one point. They all need to be held accountable. This shit needs to stop. We need Republican leaders to put country and morals over party and call this out.
And if your response is- I voted for this, or I support this, or that anyone who is against Trump is a communist or pansy or whatever idiotic troll you want to make— fuck you.
I don’t expect to change anyone’s opinion with this post. But this is where I stand.

I do my best to stay out of politics on this app because nothing good ever comes from it. But after what happened today, I felt like I needed to share how I’m feeling, especially as someone who’s conservative.
After seeing several angles of what happened earlier today, these are my final thoughts. It was completely unacceptable. A man who had every legal right to carry and every legal right to protest was disarmed, held down, and then still shot multiple times. That goes against everything conservatives believe about limited government and the proper use of state power. I do not understand why that principle suddenly disappears for some Republicans defending this. It has not disappeared for me as a conservative. You do not lose your rights because you are carrying, and you do not lose your rights because you are protesting. Those rights are supposed to coexist in America. Once someone is disarmed and on the ground, the justification for lethal force is almost nonexistent, and EVERYONE knows it. You can support strong immigration enforcement and still say this was wrong, because believing in law and order also means believing the government must be held to the highest standard when it uses force. This is not about politics. It is about the rule of law, personal liberty, and the expectation that the state exercises its power with restraint. And honestly, I do not know where the hell humanity has gone in this country. There is so much hate and so much division. I am truly praying for better days. A citizen of this country lost his life for absolutely nothing.

“One man shoved a woman to the ground. Another man stepped in to protect the woman. The man who shoved the woman then pepper sprayed the man trying to protect her. The guy who shoved the woman continued to pepper spray them both and the man who stepped in tried to use his body as a shield to protect the woman. The guy who shoved the woman then started trying to drag the man shielding the woman away. The woman shoving man failed to drag the man shielding the woman so several more men jumped in to stop the man from shielding the woman. The woman shover and his friends then stomped, punched, and kicked the man who had been trying to shield the woman. As they assaulted him they realized the shielding man had a holstered gun. The shielding man fought to get free to protect the woman, but never reached for his gun. One of the stomping men grabbed the shielding man’s gun and cleared himself before a single shot was fired. The other men then, after he had been disarmed, shot the shielding man ten or more times despite never having reached for his gun and after he’d already been disarmed.
That is exactly what happened. A man was murdered for trying to protect a woman who’d been assaulted.
He wasn’t a terrorist, he was a hero. He was the one protecting someone and he was gunned down for doing what any decent man should do when he sees a woman being assaulted. Alex Pretti died a hero. Alex Pretti exemplified the best of America and was murdered for it.
If you have any honor, any love for your country, and basic human decency, you will applaud the Alex Pretti and condemn the men who murdered him.”
