Vince Goodwill weighs in on the controversy surrounding Wembanyama not shaking hands with the Knicks players after the game:
“This is the most contrived conversation I have ever heard..
This only happens, honestly, when we wanna bang on a player. And we want to bang on Victor Wembanyama right now because of the flagrant fouls and the stuff that he said afterwards.
I’m not waiting around for you to jump around with your teammates.. the Knicks were celebrating with each other for god knows how long. That’s like waiting at the end of a party to dap somebody up..
Victor Wembanyama after the game said we couldn’t sustain our concentration, that’s what I learned from Jalen Brunson. I’d rather a player say something like that.. than shaking your damn hand.”

That's what really stands out about Jalen Brunson, for example. There are too many moments—and it doesn't come from bad intentions—but there are too many moments where I'm passive, where I don't have the control over the game that I'd like to have, and it ends up costing us.

Coaches are really good when their players are really good. Never forget that.
I’ve been in a semi final game as a HC and I’ve also been 3-7.
I can tell you with certainty the 3-7 year was a better coaching job.
People who focus solely on W/L will always miss the mark.
