NYC-based coalition of Dems working towards inclusion of people w/ disabilities in political & social fabric of society | Prez @MSchweinsburg, VP @ElisabethAxel
We' re BACK With the patient assistance of @TheDouglasPucci (Got a tech problem? Reach out to him) we can once again tweet directly from our own Twitter account. Apologies to all those who have tagged or otherwise acknowledged us - we will do better now. Thank you kindly
The NYS Legislature just passed my bill to repeal a dormant, dangerous anti-immigrant law.
The law we repealed was enacted during the Red Scare, and it would let the governor force noncitizens from designated countries to register with the government, and require landlords and hotels to report on them daily.
In Trump's America, dormant laws like this have the potential to be weaponized. Thankfully, we're getting rid of it.
I'm proud to fight alongside NY4All champions @KarinesReyes87, @CatalinaCruzNY, and @tonysimone MELT Act. This bill passed as part of the budget, which now awaits Gov. Hochul's signature.
I’m grateful for the example and support of @shahanafrombk.
Shahana always delivers for working Brooklynites. She’s living proof of why we need more working-class children of immigrants in office. Proud to be endorsed by the original sponsor of the NYC Workers Bill of Rights!
Hey, @NYMetroVets I always respect your opinions and will eagerly await your review of these legislative actions. Just know I wish he'd said anything about disabled vets, even just one time. Thank you kindly
I’ll hold my thoughts on this package of #veterans legislation until I’ve had a chance to read them, but as I said in December: x.com/nymetrovets/status/200…
I’m honored to be one of the Deputy Grand Marshal’s for this year’s 159th Brooklyn Memorial Day Parade.
Come join me and fellow #veterans, families and community members as we remember and pay tribute together. #Brooklyn#NYC#MemorialDay 🇺🇸
Wonderful surprise to have @CSEALocal1000 members cheer me on as I entered NY1’s studios for the debate.
I’ve spent my life fighting for working New Yorkers. My opponents have spent their lives lining their bank accounts.
Earlier this week, @voteshekar and I hosted our third annual Ascent summit to commemorate AAPI Heritage Month. As we highlight the strength, influence, & leadership of our communities, it was a pleasure to unite a coalition of leaders who have expanded our impact across our city.
In Congress, I’ll sign onto the AI Data Center Moratorium Act introduced by @AOC & @BernieSanders.
From poisoning our water to eliminating jobs to jeopardizing our humanity, the dangers posed by AI are urgent. We should pause new data centers until we get regulation in place to protect us from grave risks, and to shape it toward public good.
The removal of The Late Show from the airwaves is a victory for authoritarianism & a dangerous sign of corporate media capture. But the show’s impact can’t be diminished.
A year ago, I appeared on the show alongside @ZohranKMamdani. The idea of a cross-endorsement was still a hard concept for many to fathom. But the evening before Election Day, we went on to share how we united for the good of the city we love.
For me, the takeaway from @StephenAtHome’s historic run and bitter end is this: We have to fight back. But we can do it with decency (and with better dad jokes than mine).
So very happy that the man who championed our issues before so many others seems now to be in the position to carry our fight to Congress! We mustn't be complacent, we need to recommit our efforts to ensure his victory. Thank you kindly
Hmmm. Whose picture is the headline image for this article?
Your congressmember shouldn't work for crypto billionaires. They should work for you.
Keep big money out of NY-10 and out of our politics entirely. cityandstateny.com/politics/…
Again comes another opportunity to leave us brimming with pride that we were the first to endorse Antonio Delgado for governor of New York State.
Again he demonstrates his commitment to the disabled by ending PPL as he pledged to do with @CID_NY Thank you kindly
Today I signed the Care Not Corruption Pledge with @CaringMRising, calling on the Governor to end the CDPAP partnership with PPL. Corporate profiteering has no place in our home care system. Home care workers deserve better. Consumers deserve better. New Yorkers deserve better. #EndPPL
So let me get this right-first, she boasts about getting tough on Trump, then is left speechless when asked for details...bullshit indeed! We need a new New York. We need a new Governor. We need the Lt Governor, Antonio Delgado, to ascend to Governor.
Every New Yorker deserves care with dignity — and I’ll fight until they have it. Governor Hochul’s PPL program has put thousands of vulnerable lives and caregivers in jeopardy. That’s not leadership. That’s abandonment. We must do better — and we will.
@galeabrewer@NYDisabilityAdv Disability Unite Festival in @CentralParkNYC on July 13 2025! Thousands of people, many booths, and great music! Congrats to the organizers! We had a table at the Festival all day. Much thanks to interns who joined me. @504Dems was at the table next to us!
On the 35th Anniversary of the ADA, we gathered together to celebrate how far we have come, acknowledge how far we have to go, and fight against those that would send us backwards.
As the son of a mother with MS, these issues are personal to me, but it shouldn't require a personal connection to build systems and structures that work for everyone.
Great to be with @CWA1180, @CID_NY, @504Dems, @riseandresistny, and many others.

Despise X but LOVE @JumaaneWilliams and the gold framed personal letter he presented will always be a cherished treasure that will stand beside me on every Zoom Meeting. And my god, how that man can Sing! Stevie couldn't sound better singing Happy Birthday. Thank you kindly!
During Disability Pride Month, we honor activists fighting for equity.
As someone who grew up with Tourette's Syndrome and ADHD, Disability Pride is deeply personal to the Public Advocate.
Tuesday, we celebrated trailblazer @MSchweinsburg for his advocacy for accessibility.

I will be posting a triptych of messages announcing my departure from this disgusting outlet but I felt compelled to comment that although Carolyn is a Life Member of the 504 Dems, our endorsement of Virginia was based solely on her outstanding presentation and commitment to us
“Many days, it feels like I’m running against Carolyn Maloney,” said one rival candidate in Council District 4, who spoke on the condition of anonymity out of concern of becoming a target of Carolyn Maloney. cityandstateny.com/politics/…
Brad has been an advocate for people with disabilities since before he first took elected office. We were proud to endorse him because he has never wavered from his commitment to Disability Rights and Disability Justice. He is the kind of Mayor we have always been looking for
A 15 minute subway ride shouldn’t take 45 minutes and have zero elevators. But that’s the reality many New Yorkers with disabilities face.
The @504Dems and I have always fought like hell for a fully accessible public transit system. When I'm Mayor, I'll make it a reality.
