NEWS: Memphis is set to hire Kansas State strength and conditioning coach Phil Baier in the same role, per multiple sources.
โI want to do my part to help get the program back to the level it should be.โ
Baier has trained quite a few Memphians:
- Antonius Cleveland
- Tyler Stone
- Nino Johnson
- Jarekious Bradley
- Cam Golden
- Javion Hamlet
He also spent time at Miami, North Texas and Arkansas State. Very important hire.

Former Memphis signee Daniel Vieira-Tuck has committed to Tennessee State under former Tigers assistant Nolan Smith, he announced on IG.
Vieira-Tuck left Memphis last September due to academic ineligibility and spent this past season at Texas A&M-Texarkana.
