In NCS D3-6 ⚾️ playoffs, all 8 teams remaining have dropped down in divisions for the postseason, including 6 teams that have dropped down 2 divisions. Last year 6 of 8 teams left had dropped down and all 4 champs in D3-6 were teams that dropped two divisions. #PDPreps

Something interesting to note about the NCS baseball playoffs: The teams playing in the D3 and D5 title game are all teams that dropped two divisions. Pit (D1) and James Logan (D1) in D3 Montgomery (D3) and Sonoma Valley (D3) in D5. #PDPreps

The biggest changes needed: 1- Stop rewarding below average base D1’s with D3 games. 2- Stop punishing great seasons for base D4 and D5 programs with a 1st round D2 and D3 blowout loss. 3- The drop or rise of one division from your base would take care of this.

Cloverdale 🥎 was again a small-school casualty of the NCS playoff system. D5 program, went 18-4 overall, won the NCL I at 13-1, got bumped up to D3 for playoffs, lost 12-1 to a sub-.500 D1 program in Freedom. Freedom (2,468) has 6x the enrollment of Cloverdale (391). #PDPreps
