TREKKIE TRAX has released the latest EP “Basement EP” by Montpellier-based DJ/producer Pura Pura (@PuraPuraDj) on February 27, 2026. Pura Pura first gained international attention through his edit packs, supported by artists such as Jamie XX, Special Request, and Om Unit. With releases on Juke Bounce Werk, EC2A, and Global Warming, and performances at Peacock Society, Solidays, and Rex Club, he has built a reputation for energetic, genre-crossing DJ sets. “Basement EP” was inspired by a B2B set with OG Maxwell, where playing footwork and dubstep at unexpected tempos created an intense groove and euphoric atmosphere. That raw club energy directly shaped this four-track project. Blending US bass, footwork, and dubstep through a stripped-back, groove-focused approach, the EP highlights rhythm and percussion at its core. The release also includes a remix by @64controll, delivering a dancefloor-ready interpretation rooted in Juke and Footwork. “Basement EP” captures Pura Pura’s free-flowing style and is built to come alive on the dancefloor.
