NEWS: Neuralink is ready to implant its new brain chip, Blindsight, into a human patient for the first time (pending regulatory approval). The device aims to restore sight to people who are completely blind. Elon: "It will enable those who have even complete loss of vision to see in low resolution at first, leading to high resolution over time." Also, Neuralink's next generation "cybernetic augment" with 3X capability will be ready by late 2026. Neuralink's next-generation surgical robot will be able to insert threads into the brain in 1.5 seconds vs 17 seconds in their previous surgical robot.
