I think it’s working. Currently 82 degrees, 79% humidity, feels like 85 and I don’t see any panting.
We are going to see how this goes. Fan in window blowing air in angled towards roosting bars. Exhaust fans near ceiling pulling air out.

That’s what I’m saying! Marry the handy guy ❀️
My husband is on 𝕏 (though he doesn’t interact with my posts), and this is the only video he’s shared with me lol. It is a special kind of wealth.

I tossed it in the run. One took a couple pecks & wasn’t interested. I tossed it in the canal for the turtles & fish lol.
Chicken people. Can I give a dead baby iguana to my chickens? Or should I just throw it in canal like it usually do lol

Going to be pickling these this week. Tindora picked early like this is a cucumber sub. They taste just like a cucumber but they make my teeth β€œsqueaky”. I don’t know how else to describe it πŸ˜‚

My projects today are cleaning coop, weeding and planting black eye peas as a cover crop in all my beds.

Today’s project. Expanding this fence to finish hiding the pool pump. It will cut down on the noise too. Yesterday he moved the plumbing. Handy men are hot ❀️

Another way we eat this x.com/6thgenflogrown/status/…

Dinner was β€œcame out of garden today pasta.” This is onions, garlic, tomatoes, trombonchino, luffa & arugula from the yard plus some chicken, Parmesan & heavy cream. So good. Would make a good soup too.

One of the ways we eat this. Different type but cook the same x.com/6thgenflogrown/status/…

Garden fried rice happening tonight. I used part of this trombonchino & my Thai soldier beans.

I forgot about this jar I had out here last weekend. That’s how much rain we got last week 😱

Another reason I don’t pay attention to those heat index forecasts. The scary forecast posted Thursday vs what my app is telling me for today & tomorrow. Nowhere near 104.
I pay zero attention to β€œfeels like” temps. I have no context to go by. I know what 95F & 90% humidity feels like. I have never been in 105 degree weather to know what that β€œfeels like”. Heat index drives me batty, so I’m just going to ignore it & look at my phone. Save your scary red graphics πŸ˜‚ All I need during the summer is to know what the actual temp forecast is. I already know it’s going to be humid as hell. You know what would be report worthy? A summer day at less than 50% humidity

A great egg day for 6 chickens! I have one that I’m pretty sure hasn’t laid a single egg. It’s ok, she can live out retirement in the Clucking Hen Palace πŸ˜‚

Although it's at least a 2 1/2 hour drive each way, I try to make a trip down every year once the Burrowing Owl babies start emerging from the burrows. You can see why.
