NCAA FB Oversight Committee today moved forward legislation to eliminate the 2-year postseason probationary period for transitioning FCS teams, sources tell @YahooSports. DI Cabinet now must adopt the change.
If adopted, Sac State and ND State would be bowl eligible in 2026.

Notable: A new proposal by the FBS oversight committee would allow FCS-FBS transition teams to be eligible for bowl games right away at 6-6, rather than having to wait a year or two.
Would apply for NDSU and Sac State if advanced and approved in the summer.
