106 Yeomanry Regiment Royal Artillery has an office on Thorney Island and is recruiting now. The only Reserve Air Defence Regiment and with units in London, Southampton and Portsmouth, it offers extensive opportunities for as little as 27 days commitment a year. @106RegimentRA

HQ has just returned from a BFS to Hamburg. An extremely interesting and worthwhile trip allowing a busy staff to conduct professional development through the prism of Op GOMORRAH and the Firestorm in 1943. Special thanks to @RACPD for their support in enabling this study.

We’re excited to be working with @Apianaero and SkyLift UAV on this fantastic project!
Alongside @NHSuk and a drone company we have collaborated to support cancer sufferers on the Isle of Wight. The civilian drones, based at @7AirDefence, slashed the medical supply delivery time from 4-5 hours to 30 minutes. Read more: ow.ly/hIUp50H7864 #Innovation #Drone

Happy birthday to T Battery (Shah Sujah’s Troop) Royal Artillery - 13 Sep 1838. A very enjoyable morning in the refurbished Battery history room, a short service of remembrance and a chance to meet the current serving soldiers. 👍@12regtra @7AirDefence

Yesterday our Deputy Comd and Firm Base WO hosted Mr Peter Bloomfield and his sons Michael & David: former residents of RAF Thorney Island in the 1950s and 60s. It was arranged as a 91st birthday present, with Peter not having stepped foot on the island since 1968! #heritage
