The South Carolina Football Coaches Association extends our deepest condolences to the family of Bart Owens and the entire BSN family on his passing after a hard-fought battle with cancer. Bart was more than a partner to coaches across our state, he was a friend, an encourager, and a constant presence on sidelines, in field houses, and at clinics. His passion for serving coaches and student-athletes was evident in everything he did. He believed in the mission of high school athletics and worked tirelessly to support the men and women who pour into young people every day. His impact on the SCFCA and the entire athletic community in South Carolina cannot be measured. He helped strengthen programs, build relationships, and made our profession better. More importantly, he made people feel valued. Bart’s legacy will live on through the countless coaches and athletes he supported and the friendships he built along the way. Our thoughts and prayers are with his family, friends, and colleagues during this difficult time. Rest easy, Bart. You will be missed, but never forgotten.
