Day 4, Leading the convoy on its final leg to Ukraine. Over 300 miles to cover today, then the all important handover. Convoy number 4 crew can then stand down for some well deserved R&R.

The 4th FRS convoy is now on its way to Ukraine, providing vital life-saving equipment to firefighters in Ukraine. This means the UK FRS and the fire sector have now donated 69 fire appliances and thousands of items of life-saving kit and equipment.

Our annual deployment exercise is taking place this week as part of the wider SIMEX18 programme. We will be deploying 80 personnel in both ISAR and EMT roles. Looking forward to the challenges that lie ahead.
