I was annoyed that my int’l colleagues in Ukraine weren’t doing enough stories on domestic politics and other “seemingly” mundane issues beyond the (undeniably important) daily coverage of the fighting. Then I realized it was the editors, not the journos who didn’t want that.
Looking at how much of the Western left can't take an adequate position regarding the Russo-Ukrainian war even after seven months of war has made me appreciate Bernie Sanders and the Squad even more.
