Chip-ocalypse(tm) means I can sort of believe that Apple might actually extend the iPhone mainstream flagship release cadence.
iPhone 17, luckily, is awesome. But cynically there’s a question of competing marketing-2nm-enabled smartphones. No way Apple lets QC leapfrog.
One of the best parts of this job is sharing the wonder of exploration. It was an honor to host @FreddyLA7 and friends at @NASAJohnson, thank you for your curiosity and excitement! (Confirmed: real people, on an epic road trip!)
This is the coolest thing ever. We’re at NASA getting a tour from astronaut Anne McClain. This is us entering the Orion capsule that flew around the Moon in April.
Thank you @NASA for the coolest day ever. One week ago, we were eating Chili’s in Chattanooga, and today we’re talking to the ISS. This is the American dream.
Thanks for letting three random World Cup tourists from Germany live it for a few days. USA rocks.🇺🇸🚀
Did I miss the news that TSMC was gonna ship A14 (marketing-1.4nm) ~1 year after N2P, which is said to launch ~1 yr after N2?
Even some of TSMC’s slides seemed to indicate A14 would be something like N3(B). Will or could Apple actually SKIP A16?
@MarcTechStream@VadimYuryev
What I was trying to say with “A14 being like N3(B)”, I think, was N3(B) as the “next node step” had to wait about 2 years while N5P half-stepped to N4-family before marketing-3nm finally launched in volume (Samsung 1st-run 3nm made a significant impact on the market? Really?)
