Duke's roster is absolutely loaded. Insane frontcourt of 5 guys who can all play with initial 3 as good as any in the nation. Added juice to the guard group, wild recruiting class. Jon Scheyer has a damn squad... again Easily top 3 preseason team in the nation.

Hate to say it but I just don’t see how UNC will compete vs Duke. They returned multiple key pieces and basically their whole bench is projected to get drafted in the first round.

This is your reminder to not pay attention to player rankings in the portal. Brett Decker Jr, transfer from Liberty, committed to Baylor, is rated a 3 star (0.88) in the portal currently by 24-7 Sports. He averaged 17 PPG and shot 47% from 3 as a sophomore. Eli Ellis is a PG transfer from South Carolina that continually showed inability to play at the physicality level needed in college hoops. He averaged 8 PPG on 38% from the field and 28% from 3. He is rated a 4 star in the portal (0.91 rating). The people making these ratings are LAZY and don’t consistently watch college basketball. So much of it is based of their high school rating and these sites thinking they still have “potential”. Let someone like @ryanhammer09 make these ratings.

Florida's potential Elite 8 draw is pretty brutal. They have the best 2-seed (Houston) and best 3-seed (Illinois) in their region. If they had Duke's region with UConn and Michigan State, their odds at getting to the Final Four would go up about 5%.

Cameron Boozer has faced the two biggest frontcourts in the country in Michigan and Florida. Vs Florida: 29 points, 6 rebounds, 2 assists Vs Michigan: 18 points, 10 rebounds, 7 assists I have zero concerns about how he will translate to the NBA. Boozer is a killer.
