One of the top strikeout staffs in the country set a new precedent at Amarillo College. This past spring, Badger pitchers set a pair of program records as a unit – strikeouts per 9 innings (11.48) and strikeouts in a season (501). Duncan Bowles, Tyler Holmes, Aiden White, and Trent Bower ended the 2026 slate with top-8 all-time K/9 marks in a single season.

Raising the bar on the diamond and in the classroom. Congratulations to these 14 Badgers for earning Dean’s List honors for the 2026 spring semester. A special shoutout to Tell Bryant, Axel Chasak, Rowin Donaldson, Jacob Gilbert, Will Jamison, Landon Mayne, Jake Scheiden, John Shannon, Matthew Tellez, Alexander Villalobos, and Aiden White for being named to the distinguished list both semesters during the 2025-26 academic calendar. To attain inclusion on the prestigious list, students must attend AC full time by completing 12 hours and earn a grade point average of 3.6 or higher.

The Badgers’ all-time hits leader and all-conference honoree. Brooks Carter set five program records in 2026, including career hits (143), career RBIs (113), conference batting average (.482), career multi-hit games (48), and career walks (86). In addition, the catcher and designated hitter added the fourth-highest homer total (19) in team history. A heck of a career at AC for the Shallowater native.

The third true freshman in program history to earn first-team all-conference honorsβœ… The Badgers' leadoff hitter finished his first season at AC with two program records in hand – stolen bases (27) and runs scored (70). Additional top-five all-time marks include: hits (2nd), batting average (tied for 2nd), homers (5th), OPS (5th), and multi-hit games (4th). He joins Sydney Ward and Braylen Timmins as Badgers who earned first-team honors after joining the program out of high school.

In appropriate fashion, Luis Gonzalez capped a gritty Badger career last weekend with five hits, six RBIs, and a homer, which helped AC secure a 15-14 game three win vs. Frank Phillips. The Puerto Rican first baseman and catcher finished the season with a team-high 16 doubles and ranked third on the team in the hit column (63).

Went out with a bangπŸ’₯ AC run-ruled the Plainsmen in seven innings to cap the 2026 season. Jatniel McCloud, Brooks Carter, and Colton McClure hit one homer apiece and combined for eight RBIs. Dylan Ray, Gabe Compton, Rowin Donaldson, and McCloud added one double each. Tyler Holmes struck out nine FPC batters and allowed three earned runs across six innings for his third victory of his freshman campaign. Cole Miller allowed no hits and no earned runs in the final inning.

Never out of the fight. Facing a 12-8 deficit heading into the sixth inning, AC plated seven runs in sixth frame to complete the game three comeback victory. AC hit six home runs, led by Alex Villalobos and Gabe Compton, who hit two homers each. Villalobos’ second longball – a three-run shot – gave the Badgers a 14-12 lead in the sixth inning. Brooks Carter hit his eighth homer of the season and Luis Gonzalez went yard for the fourth time this spring. Jatniel McCloud had three hits, moving him up the record book into second place for hits in a season (80). Jacob Gilbert earned the win on the hill, striking out five batters and allowing two earned runs in the final 3 1/3 innings.

Game 2 Final Frank Phillips wins game two in 10 innings to even the series. Jatniel McCloud led the team with three singles and two RBIs. Duncan Bowles tallied nine strikeouts, no walks, and one earned run over 5.1 innings in middle relief duty.

AC takes the series opener in Borger. Aiden White recorded his second-highest strikeout total of the season (10) across six frames for his fourth conference victory. The Dallas Baptist University commit ends his Badger career with a program record 100 strikeouts – 18 higher than the previous all-time best mark. Dylan Ray had a team-high hit total (2) for the second consecutive game. Rowin Donaldson had a triple and made his first appearance of the season on the mound in a closing role. The Seminole native had one strikeout and allowed one hit in the final inning.
