I co-founded @piktochart in 2012. As an infographic tool, we adopted the philosophy, ‘A picture is worth 1000 words.’ Fast forward to today, we can now transform those 1000 words into a visual at the click of a button. 🤼 No wrestling with/deleting half of the template’s content before getting started. 🖼️Get inspired by how your infographic can potentially be laid out. 🧠Get an interesting alternative outline for your topic. We’re still early on our AI roadmap, and would appreciate knowing what you need in its iterations. Comment below! piktochart.com/generative-ai…

Hire good people and give them room to do their jobs. Sounds great when it's described that way, doesn't it?

Except in practice, judging from the report of founder after founder, what this often turns out to mean is: hire professional fakers and let them drive the company into the ground. lol been there. Done that. paulgraham.com/foundermode.h…

Stating the obvious: Times are changing for the comms professional. They no longer can control the narrative.

People weren't just sitting back and listening to the narrative they sent out; They'd Share, Remix, Put their own spin on things. But Comms pros felt they had the Final say.

With Gen Z, the power paradigm is shifting. Comms professionals have to rethink relationships. Their role switches from Crafting a narrative aligned with strategy and "releasing it" To Creating toolkits and partner with this content creation generation.

How To Have 50% of "Slack" Time as a CEO Jeff Bezos was famous to coin this term that it's important especially for a founder/CEO to not constantly be bombarded by work. You need some "wandering time" and this gives birth to awesome ideas. //THREAD//”

4) Team meetings We have run company-wide retros within 1 hour and the expectation is that everyone comes in fully prepared and we run a tight ship that is to be on schedule. I obviously exclude myself from many meetings and default to asynchronous communication where possible

4) To be honest, work is more intense. When you cut the fluff, you're left with deep work.💪 Which brings great satisfaction once you've accomplished something. Like going to gym, it's rewarding. However, it also takes practice and hard work.
