BREAKING: We sued the Elizabeth School District after they removed 19 books from school libraries.
This violated federal and state constitutional free speech protections.
Depriving students of access to books in their school library because of the board’s disagreement with the ideas in them violates both the First Amendment of the U.S. Constitution and the Free Speech Clause of the Colorado Constitution.
We’ll keep fighting this partisan and politically motivated censorship. Students deserve to have access to a diversity of ideas and viewpoints in their school libraries.
