Meghan Keir passed her TAP exams and joined the ACMG in Oct. (Apprentice Hiking Guide w/ Winter Travel.) She was the 3,000th person to join! (Folks come and go over time, so we don’t actually have 3,000 members – but it is a cool benchmark.) Welcome, Meghan! And Happy New Year!

Seriously, folks – across much of Canada, arctic outflow has plunged temperatures to historic lows. It is cold out there – especially if there's wind. Frostbite is one of those things that is a lot better to prevent than to treat. Be aware, take care.

It’s cold out there. Maybe a trip to the climbing gym is in order. (Did you know that WorkSafe BC requires that climbing gym instructors be ACMG-certified? 2nd choice is certification by the Climbing Wall Association.)
