We are at it again! The recent worksite workshop focused on supporting the installation and preparation of building trusses as part of the hands-on carpentry training experience. Participants were introduced to the purpose of roof trusses and how they help support the structure.
Did you know we are in week 11 of our DYRS cohort with youth learning skills of the trades like carpentry, and plumbing? Youth remain highly engaged and committed throughout the program. Participants are actively supporting the rebuilding of a single-family home in SE.

Curtis Brothers Outreach Worker heads to Oxen Hill Farm for a day in the country. Children and adults need the respect of nature and stillness of the beautiful horses to mediate and learn. We at ACM believe that children our the treasure and we need to protect and inspire them.
We are making our plans for ACM Summer Camp! We will explore fun places like museums, art galleries, amusement parks, & do arts and crafts and swimming too! We love spending time with DC youth and having exciting experiences together. We will also teach Conflict Resolution๐
Along with our strategic partners - DYRS, A-1 Plumbing and Helping Others with Life Program a Pilot Program at ACM was launched! We are teaching bright, enthusiastic and resilient youth the building trades, so they can acquire certifications and job opportunities.๐ ๐
