ACPD has charged 33-year-old Davonya Adamson of Charlottesville, Va., with aggravated malicious wounding (§18.2-51.2) and domestic assault and battery (§18.2-57.2a). Adamson is being held at the Albemarle-Charlottesville Regional Jail without bond.

The Albemarle County Police Department (ACPD) arrested a Buckingham man and charged him with 11 felonies after a months-long investigation into allegations of sex crimes involving children.

An Albemarle County grand jury returned indictments on June 1 for 37yo Michael J. Swiney. Swiney turned himself in to ACPD on June 3. Swiney faces 7 counts of aggravated sexual battery, 3 counts of incident liberties & 1 count of attempted aggravated sexual battery.

Swiney is being held at ACRJ without bond. The investigation is ongoing. Due to Swiney's employment at local schools, detectives have reason to believe that additional victims may exist. Anyone with information is encouraged to contact Detective Godfrey at 434-296-5807.
