On April 6th at 1:13pm mountain time the Transglobal Car Expedition successfully reached the geographic North Pole entirely overland from #NYC through Edmonton and Yellowknife Canada, a first. @ExplorersClub

The transglobalcar.com expedition is at 85°54′N. How far is that? Only 284mi to the NORTH POLE. And we’re sending all our socials AND scientific data for ice thickness & cosmic ray penetration via @Starlink It’s incredible. Honest thanks @elonmusk it’s changed comms and safety in the Arctic.

This on the Arctic Ocean is the electromagnetic ice thickness meter we bring on the Transglobal Car Expedition as we cross from Canada over the North Pole to Greenland. The data is uploaded via @Starlink to the scientists in Germany who interpret and quickly share the data with ice databases including Siku.org. Subtract 1.49m for calibration.

We’re excited to see if the current massive solar flares and resulting magnetic storms have an effect on the cosmic rays hitting us at 84.5 degrees North with the scintillators we have onboard the transglobalcar.com expedition. I’m monitoring/will post a link so you can too!

The transglobalcar.com expedition has reached 84.5 degrees North on the way to the North Pole overland (really over ice). Then back down to Greenland and overland around the rest of the planet!
