Helali left Syria after a period of nine months — only two of which he spent “on the front” — before returning to the United States to attend Dartmouth College, where he gave talks about his time “in the YPG” (another lie — the was enlisted with an IFB subgroup, NOT the YPG)

Worth noting, Helali fails to mention his involvement with The Queer International Liberation Army, or the IRPGF, instead referring to his unit as the IFB (actually a larger coalition of international forces, not a single unit).

The one time we ran into IRPGF during the Battle of Tabqa, they were maybe 2 or 3 dudes max embedded in a regular YPG tabur; they were putting in work but, as Karim says, they never operated as an independent tabur or even takim as far as I know (platoon & fireteam, respectively)

During this period Helali sends another letter to the IWW, claiming to be living “under surveillance” in Greece. This is a lie. Helali was living in Vermont & giving college lectures
