Just a reminder, the ACT’s emergency departments are very busy. If you need help for a medical condition that isn’t life threatening, there a range of services that don’t involve a trip to the emergency department. For more information visit: bit.ly/urgent-care-options 2/2

Our ED and Walk-in Centre wait times will not be available from 11.59pm on Friday 11 November for up to 48 hours, while we roll out the Digital Health Record, the ACT’s new electronic medical records system. We will let you know when wait times become available again. 1/2

If you need to visit an emergency department, please do so, but if your need for care is not urgent, please consider an alternative to free up resources in our EDs to provide emergency care. More info: bit.ly/urgent-care-options 3/3

We will always give priority to the most urgent cases and there will be longer wait times for less urgent cases. This includes for those sicker patients who may arrive after others. 2/3

Currently both Canberra Hospital and Calvary Public Hospital emergency departments are extremely busy. We expect this to continue over the coming days as teams across the ACT public health system begin using the new Digital Health Record. 1/3
