🟢Coaches: The coaching profession can be better, but only if we’re honest about it - Message directly from our Co-Founder & CEO! 👊This profession is still far too driven by who you know instead of what you know and who you are as a coach, leader & person - even though that’s what everyone claims is most important. I challenge the coaching community to back it up! 💪Coach Portal is built by former D1 coaches — we’ve lived it, we know how the game is played, and we know the hiring process isn’t black & white. Not only do we not hide from it, but we embrace it because the coaching industry won’t improve unless someone is willing to say the uncomfortable things out loud. ⏩Jobs move fast. Timelines shift. Information evolves quickly. Not every position is truly “open.” Sometimes there are front-runners. Sometimes the door is cracked, not wide open. That gray area exists whether people want to admit it or not. ✅Instead of hiding from that, we choose to acknowledge it. When information changes or we miss something, we own it, correct it, and keep moving — because transparency builds trust. We’ll continue to put ourselves out there if it helps coaches get their shot. Progress requires transparency. Honesty beats false certainty. 📈Our mission is simple: Support coaches who deserve their shot and help hiring staffs find the best candidates possible — not just the most connected ones. 🤝We’re here to help coaches. Always have been. Always will be. #CoachPortal

“I got into this profession because I loved football and I loved being around the game. I thought it was like you get to coach football and X’s and O’s. But then you realize very quickly that the greatest fulfillment for me is seeing young people succeed. That’s my inspiration to do this,” Marcus Freeman @NDFootball
