Well world, Ppl out there…is this thing on? 🎙️🎤 Ok well here goes *deep sigh* It’s been a very different experience creating an album as a momma. Studio requires so much time to perfect so many diff things…Time that quite frankly, I’d much rather spend with my chunky liddo pumpkin pie baby bubba. and you guys know I have a hard time letting the music go b/c I’m a perfectionist & to me it’s never rlly “done”. How could it be? It’s an ever changing piece of art that narrates the last 5 years of my life. Should feel great right? Well not always. It’s like closing a chapter. Many chapters. And you know how when your dumb ass used to actually read books how you’d go back to a chapter you rlly loved or didn’t understand? Even if it kept making you sad? But once you finish the book, you kinda feel kinda blah for a second? like you can’t use those things as a crutch anymore? You know how it ends. You can’t keep moping about it…you know you can read a new book, etc Bad analogy? Ugh! You’re right. Idk. It’s like dropping your first baby to school for the first time. You know it has to be done, it’s a proud moment, but then you cry in the car thinking about the last 5 years of being a mom, reminiscing, so many precious moments… & now you have to start a new chapter b/c the “baby” is no longer a baby & now you have to let go. But also let IT go. All those “it’s” in life that you MUST let go. You keep walking back to the window to make sure he’s ok. He’s ok. You know he is. I so wish I could explain this better. Nevertheless, when the clock strikes midnight next PINK FRIDAY, you WILL ABSOLUTELY w/o a shadow of a doubt!!!!! Have PINK FRIDAY 2 🎀 A genius, iconic, thought provoking, beautiful body of work. Dear Barbz, I’ve been trying to find the right time to tell you this for a few days. Due to some really exciting news that I’ll share with you guys @ a later time, I’ve shifted the album date just a tad bit. Trust me, it’ll be WELL WORTH THE WAIT…but since I AM shifting the date just a tad, I’d like to give you guys a tiny SIP of some more album tea so that I don’t have to get cussed out 🙁 so…here it goes: 🎀 MY NEW ALBUM WILL BE RELEASED ON 11.17.23- 🎀 and she shall be called: #PinkFriday2 🎀 🥹 I love you guys so much. I am so grateful for the years of support & love you guys have given me. At times maybe I didn’t even deserve all that you have poured into me. Nonetheless, you. will. love. this. album.
