Twitch didn't do anything to viewer counts BUT Chrome did! they just added this setting called "memory saver" which puts inactive tabs to sleep make sure you have it checked off if you want your lurk to count! That's all no forced chatting or anything. Chrome Settings>Performance

Legit, if you want a creator to collaborate or "help" with your project, guilt tripping and being extremely vague in what you're asking is NOT the way to go.
