Türkiye's helping hand has reached Libya!
We stand by our Libyan brothers and sisters in the disaster area where one of the biggest floods in history occurred, thousands of people lost their lives and tens of thousands of people became homeless.
An earthquake measuring 6.9 occurred in Marrakech, Morocco on September 9, at 01.17 local time in Türkiye.
👥 A total of 2️⃣6️⃣5️⃣ personnel from #AFAD, @sb_umke, @Kizilay and other NGOs stand by to be dispatched to the region in case of a call for international aid from Morocco.
⛺️We are also waiting for a call from the Moroccan authorities to deliver 1 thousand tents to the region.
We offer our deepest condolences and wish speedy recovery for the Moroccan people who were hit by the earthquake.
Starting from the first day of the 7.7 magnitude earthquake in Kahramanmaraş, the shipment of tents to the 11 provinces in order to meet the temporary need for shelter of earthquake victims, unremittingly continues.
In addition to tent city areas which were established at 𝟮𝟳𝟬 points in provinces hit very hard by the earthquake, AFAD also meets people’s demands for tents.
𝟯𝟬𝟬 𝘁𝗵𝗼𝘂𝘀𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝟴𝟬𝟵 tents have been set up in the region.
In this context;
▪️ 69.766 tents were set up in Hatay
▪️ 66.685 in Kahramanmaraş
▪️ 49.670 in Gaziantep
▪️ 45.852 in Adıyaman
▪️ 25.380 in Malatya
▪️ 17.515 in Adana
▪️ 8.838 in Şanlıurfa
▪️ 7.170 in Osmaniye
▪️ 6.328 in Diyarbakır and
▪️ 3.605 tents in Kilis
▪️ @Kizilay and NGOS have dispatched 319 mobile kitchens, 86 catering vehicles, 33 mobile bakeries, and 83 showers/laundry units to the earthquake-affected areas.
Citizens in the earthquake-affected regions are distributed soup, hot meals, food boxes, snacks, and beverages.
