Investing in public schools while supporting school choice is an option! Don't let the liberals fool you. West Virginia can have its cake and eat it too. More choices will always be better for personal freedom and education.

Interesting to be lectured on economic development by an ineffective Chamber more focused on left wing social issues than economic success. Instead of diminishing the @wvgovernor's wins, Steve Roberts should celebrate WV's momentum.
NEW Q&A: Gov. Patrick Morrisey says West Virginia’s economic momentum is real. The state’s top business advocate thinks the state is falling behind: mountainstatespotlight.org/2…

Taxpayers are being asked to pay more and more for increasingly fewer kids to be educated. It’s the same whether one looks at statewide totals or a county-by-county breakdown, with rare exception. And this theme isn’t unique to WV. Sneering at the data doesn’t make it less true.
Yeah…a lot of that is hiring of the teachers aids mandated by the Third Grade Success Act. And, dumping data from all 55 county school systems to get these grand totals makes no sense other than to make dumb posts like this. Each county if different.

Across West Virginia public school districts, our review found a pattern of fiscal mismanagement: → $34,000 in misused Title II funds (federal dollars meant for teacher training and recruitment) → Federal school-nutrition funds—meant for student meals—spent on iPads and MacBooks → $3.4M embezzlement scheme → $600K in special education overspending tied to improper budgeting and inaccurate certified data

Government doesn't create jobs, businesses do. Cut regulations, stop the handouts, and get government out of the way.

Senator @BrianHeltonWV is right! We need to focus on the fundamentals such as cutting taxes and regulations. Not corporate handouts. That is how we help the economy of West Virginia!

Not to mention the hundreds of millions in private sector health care investment that would create hundreds, if not thousands, of jobs while providing existing West Virginia medical professionals new, better job opportunities and potential employers.
$232. That's how much more every West Virginian pays each year because of Certificate of Need laws. CON doesn't protect patients—it protects hospital monopolies at your expense. It's time to end it.

Government shutdowns don't produce results. They produce chaos for our citizens. Congress must do its job and pass a budget.
