In the past hour, some of you may have received a *free* NFT, disguised as a malicious phishing scam. The idea is simple, send an NFT to thousands of wallets and hope that someone is intrigued enough to visit the promoted website which will inevitably ask you for your secret phrase or to sign a transaction to drain your wallet. The Flare Network is cheap to transact on, so minting and distributing thousands of NFTs for a couple of $ could pay big if just one whale gets caught in this mess. Scammers will make you feel unsafe, they will pressure you to act fast, they will direct you to malicious websites. Please, if you read this post and do just one thing, let it be this: NEVER SHARE YOUR SECRET PHRASE OR SIGN TRANSACTIONS FROM AN UNKNOWN WEBSITE 🙏 Oh and sharing this post would also help. Important update on FLR Effective Thursday, July 4th, 2024, at 19:00 UTC, $FLR inflation is transitioning from 7% (current) to 5% (new) to achieve a more sustainable level, as outlined in Flare's tokenomics and approved by the community (FIP.01). This change reduces the number of new FLR tokens minted annually, creating a scarcer long-term supply. While delegation and staking rewards will adjust to reflect the lower inflation rate, FlareDrops are unaffected. Thank you for your continued support.
