Thankful for the opportunity to pick up with our sister team, Mississippi Glory Newsom - 14u this weekend at the Bombers Southeast Invitational in Oxford. I went 1-2 at the plate with a couple of walks, and an infield single. Also got to catch a couple innings in pool play. Great experience to get some reps in such a high level tournament! @xtremedemarini

My best at bat of the tournament today! We had 2 outs, last inning and trying to mount a comeback. Grinded out a single up the middle on an 8 pitch at bat!
After this, @Macy20Glory hit a liner to left that would’ve tied the game, but the left fielder made a great catch! @xtremedemarini @tirwinjr

Sometimes, you just have a day where the best thing you can do at the plate is walk or reach on an error. It isn’t always pretty, but whatever helps put runs on the board.
