My local @CanadianTire is a disaster. My mom's car battery died last week. As a good son I went to the local CT (Heron and Bank for #Ottawa folks - you know the one.) Ask the parts counter for compatible battery, pay for it, and leave.

Monday rolls around and I attempt to call…and you can not get through to this guy via his direct extension or the parts counter. The closest I've got to contact over 2 days was to be placed on hold and then they hang up after 10 minutes.

Considering it's peak dead battery season, I'll leave this here as a cautionary tale: if Canadian Tire makes a mistake and sells you the wrong battery you're on the hook and there's basically nothing you can do about it.

When are the suburbs and rural areas going to wake up and realize that they're subsidizing Mayor Sutcliffe's woke policies with never-ending tax increases that ignore people who live outside the Greenbelt. Ottawa needs to deamalgamate now to make downtown pay its fair share!
