ONWA is a non-profit organization that supports Indigenous women through culturally-grounded programs, such as land-based therapy and sharing/healing circles.
Day of Service committee hope to support women’s leadership, embracing intersectionality, and international networking with ONWA for the shared vision.

After Brown v Board of Ed, White Mississippians left Jackson, rather than have their children attend school w Black children. Black families were left behind & the tax base necessary for infrastructure improvements repairs was decimated. This water crisis = the legacy of racism

CED alumni, Dr. Shawn Spurgeon and Dr. LaTasha Hicks Becton, serve on the 2021-22 ACA Antiracism Commission. The Commission is charged with proposing and evaluating plans to guide ACA in breaking down systemic and institutional barriers within the ACA and counseling profession.
