If the job isn't a CEO..CFO..COO..or any C-suite/SE position...there's absolutely no reason for Four rounds of interviews!!

Most of these jobs don't care about you. Just complete your assigned tasks and go home, nothing more. I have this coworker who has been consitent for 2 years, always comes in early, never absent. I've seen her stay late multiple times to complete tasks during peak periods. Last..

Not when MAGA is constantly saying to keep politics out of sports 🙄 and “shut up and just play”
I really don’t wanna weigh in on this because of the backlash that comes with it….. However, I’d like to say a player in any sport should have the right to support, endorse any political figure or politician they want without being questioned on it.

You shouldn’t chase the money but you should be fairly compensated for the work you’re doing.
I see so many people upset about the $ for young coaches / GA’s or volunteer opportunities.. All I can say is.. If it’s your PASSION, and you have an OPPORTUNITY, why would the $ bother you? I worked for a $2000 stipend per semester last year while working two other jobs. If you gonna complain about it, don’t do it. There’s people who would give up anything for that position.

Only in America…. A woman can get Raped, File a complaint, Win a suit in Civil Court holding her rapist civilly liable… And then be criminally prosecuted by the U.S. Department Of Justice… Because she was fucking raped by a rich powerful man who’s well connected.

While I understand the point being made, I don’t love the holier-than-thou attitude toward people’s financial situations in sports. I spent years grinding after college (and still am) working for free, working for pennies, and doing whatever it took to stay in the profession. If we’re being honest, one of the main reasons I made it through was the financial support available during COVID. Without it, I would’ve been in a MUCH tougher spot. I’m still dealing with the financial consequences of chasing this career path. Was it worth it? Yes. Was it enjoyable? Not exactly. Most people who get into sports understand they probably won’t be making six figures right away. But acknowledging that reality doesn’t mean people shouldn’t be fairly compensated for the work they do. When you’re consistently putting in long days/weeks/months, it’s reasonable to believe your time and effort have value. There are a lot of talented people in this profession navigating financial challenges without much support. We can recognize the sacrifices required to work in sports while also recognizing that better compensation is a fair conversation to have. I think this is a fine line we walk and that we should be mindful of commenting on someone else’s financial reality and honestly, this is going to be even more of a conversation moving forward as things such as groceries, gas, and rent continue to climb.

You just proved her point. “I did it” right there in your statement.

I don’t think it’s a “I had to suffer so the next generation should too” issue nor mindset. In every industry, there just is not enough $$ nor jobs to go around for everybody that wants one. If you want to “get in”, you may have to make a short-term decisions. You may have to work multiple jobs to maintain your desired lifestyle. I did it. At that time, I didn’t feel like I was suffering at all because I was chasing a dream and I was young. If I didn’t want to make that choice, I was free to go pursue other higher paying opportunities. It’s just the way the world works.

RT @35mmadi: This “I had to suffer so the next generation should too” attitude in sports has got to stop. Everyone deserves to get compensa…

And then coach’s get upset at you and you’re not getting the full experience … idk there just has to be a better way.
This isn’t what society should be like :/ and the fact that coach’s are still okay w this. You have practices that are held in the middle of the afternoon that GA’s / volunteer coaches potentially miss or choose between practice and a job

While I understand starting from the bottom and working your way up ..I don’t understand working for Pennie’s at a time ..having to go to school / work 2/3 jobs to just make ends meet because something is your “passion”
